Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a reservation to enjoy an escape room experience?

Yes, a reservation is necessary. We are open by appointment only, so if you drop by, we may not be open. Players must book online and pay in full at the time of booking.

How far in advance should I make my reservation?

It is recommend that players book as far in advance as possible to ensure their desired date and time is available.

Can I bring extra people?

Recommended group sizes have been prepared based on the square footage of the room and puzzles involved. However, if you book the entire room, we will consider requests for an additional 1-3 players, so long as the room can accommodate the same. You simply reserve the room for the maximum number of people and pay for the extra guests with a credit card upon arrival.

Can I cancel or reschedule my reservation?

Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable. However, if you need to reschedule in the event of an emergency, please call at least 24 hours in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.

What happens if I arrive late? / How long is each event?

You have 60 minutes to complete the tasks of each room. It is recommended that players arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the scheduled time for a short briefing to go over the rules of the game.

Your time will start on the hour, if you arrive late you will lose that time to play your game. For example, if you arrive 5 minutes late, and it takes 10 minutes to sign waivers and go over the rules, you will only have 45 minutes to complete the room.

In order to avoid disruptions if your party does not have the entire room booked, once the game has begun, we cannot permit late arrivals. There are no refunds for late arrivals, so please plan accordingly.

Is the door actually locked?

No, players will be metaphorically “locked” in a room, and in order to fully enjoy the game it is recommended that players remain inside the room throughout the allotted time. However, for safety reasons the door is accessible throughout the game, and players may leave the room if necessary.

Is it scary?

No. Escape rooms have themes and props to set a mood, but they are not haunted houses. So, while a room may be based on a horror theme (like Dracula) we aren't planning to have elements or effects in the rooms that would scare players. No one will be jumping out at you in any of our rooms.

Do I need to wear or bring anything special?

No, players should simply wear comfortable clothing. All you need to bring are your wits.

 Is the location handicapped accessible?

Yes.  However we suggest calling before you book to verify that the room you are interested in will accommodate your groups needs.

Do I have to sign the Waiver and Release of Liability in order to participate?

Yes. If you do not want to sign the waiver, then you cannot participate. The waiver is standard among escape rooms. It protects us from liability if someone should be injured during the game, explains that if anything should be damaged during the game we can charge for a replacement part, and gives us permission to post your group photo on social media.

What happens if we don’t escape in time? / Can we play the same room more than once?

Escape rooms are challenging, so many players get close, but do not escape in time. At the end of the allotted time, the game master will enter the room and you will have the opportunity to hear the final solution. If you choose not to hear the solution, you can come back and try again at a later date. Please keep the solutions confidential so you do not spoil the experience for future players.

Can I book the escape room for a private party/corporate event?

Yes. We are happy to accommodate single room private experiences, multiple room events, and team competitions. Private events include exclusive use of the room/rooms, and can even be held outside of regular business hours. A minimum of 6 ticket purchases are required to accommodate private bookings. Please contact us and we will be happy to arrange a personalized event for your group.

Can children participate?

Participants must be at least 10 years of age. Infants and toddlers will not be allowed in the rooms. Children under the age of 16 must have a paying adult in the room. Anyone under the age of 18 must have the Waiver and Release of Liability form signed by their parent/legal guardian.
